Who we are
Glass Pals (glasspals.com) is a family-made storytelling project: picture books, cartoon episodes, coloring pages and a video game about Glass the gecko, created by Aquiles with help from his dad. Contact: jordan@spirals.me.
What this site collects
By default: nothing. You can watch, read, download and play without creating an account or telling us anything. We don't run advertising, we don't sell data, and we don't use tracking cookies of our own.
- Hosting logs. Our host (Netlify) keeps standard, short-lived server logs (like IP addresses) to run and protect the service, as any web host does.
- YouTube videos. The episode player on our homepage is embedded from YouTube. When you press play, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies and collect viewing data under Google's privacy policy.
- Fonts. Our lettering loads from Google Fonts, which sees a standard font request from your browser.
The game
The GLASS game at glasspals.com/play runs entirely in your browser. Your progress (unlocked levels, candy) is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser data resets the game.
Downloads
The eBooks and coloring pages are free files. Downloading them requires no email, account, or personal information.
The newsletter (grown-ups only)
Our "Glass Pals News" email list is intended for parents and adult fans. If you sign up, your email address is stored by Kit, the email service we use. You'll get a confirmation email first (double opt-in), and every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. We never sell or share the list.
The Glass Pals Club (grown-ups only)
Club memberships and one-time tips are processed by Stripe. Payment details (like card numbers) go directly to Stripe โ we never see or store them. Stripe shares with us only what's needed to run the club, like your name, email and membership tier. You can cancel anytime via the link in your Stripe receipt email or by emailing us.
Children's privacy
Glass Pals is made for families, and we take this seriously: the site is designed so children can enjoy everything without providing any personal information at all. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The newsletter signup and Club checkout are directed at adults. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email jordan@spirals.me and we will delete it promptly.
Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any email.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing jordan@spirals.me.
- Watch the videos directly on YouTube if you prefer to manage cookies there.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything that changes how data is handled (for example, new features), we'll update this page and the date at the top.
